ACE Machine STL
Hi, my name is Sam, and I’ve been a machinist since 2016. I’ve worked in several shops serving a wide range of industries, with the central theme being packaging. I was a bicycle mechanic for 11 years, which gave me a strong background in repair, and a delicate touch as a machinist. I spent several years doing blacksmithing as a hobby, which gave me some additional understanding of how metal moves. This led me to a job making steel rule dies for the corrugated box industry, making knives that cut the shape of cardboard boxes, from the basic outline of the flaps to hand holes and vents, and even complicated custom openings.
I spent about 5 years designing and building automated beer packaging equipment, which honed my understanding of mechanical movement, and how to accurately and repeatably move items.
Ultimately I’m a manufacturing nerd. I really enjoy developing my understanding of the world around me, and I try to continually improve myself and my environment. When you work with me you can expect respect, careful listening, and a commitment to our mutual success.
